Who can use Yapping

Using Yapping requires you to be 18 or older and legally able to sign a contract in your country. If we banned you in the past, or local law rules it out, Yapping is not available to you.

Whatever happens under your account is on you, even if a friend was holding your phone at the time. Keep your login private.

The service

Yapping offers random one-to-one chats by video, voice or text, with the mode chosen before each match, along with profiles, follows, messages, a Who's online list, live rooms, translation for typed messages and a Reward Center. Features come and go as Yapping evolves, and like any online service it will occasionally be down or slow.

Random matching means we do not choose who you meet, and we cannot guarantee how any other user will behave. The rules in our community guidelines apply to everyone, and breaking them has consequences.

Coins, gifts and VIP

• Coins are a digital item that only exists inside Yapping. You spend them on matches once your free allowance is gone, on private calls with a person you chose, on gifts and on entry to certain live rooms. Coins are not money and cannot be cashed out.
• Prices are shown before you buy. Purchases are final once coins are delivered, unless the law where you live says otherwise or we agree to a refund after reviewing a problem.
• VIP is a membership level. Members get a VIP badge, which they may switch off, and see member prices when buying coins. The VIP package can change over time.
• Before a gift goes out you are asked to confirm it, and once sent it stays sent.
• Coins and VIP time left in an account are lost if the account is deleted or banned for breaking these terms.

Free matches and the Reward Center

Newcomers start with some free matches. On top of that, the Reward Center pays out a reward, like extra matches or a few coins, each time its timer runs down and you tap claim. The amounts, timing and types of reward are set by us and may change. Rewards have no cash value, and abusing them with multiple accounts or automation leads to removal.

What you must not do

• Show or send sexual or explicit content to people who have not agreed to it, or share anything involving minors.
• Harass, threaten, bully or spread hate towards anyone.
• Scam, spam, advertise or ask other users for money.
• Record, screenshot or share another person's chat without their permission.
• Pretend to be someone else, including Yapping staff.
• Use bots, scripts or hacked clients, or try to break, overload or reverse engineer the service.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post, but you give Yapping permission to host, display and transmit it as needed to run the service. You confirm you have the right to share it. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

Suspension and ending your account

We may warn, restrict, suspend or permanently remove an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, sometimes without notice when safety is involved. You can appeal by emailing [email protected] with Appeal in the subject line. You can stop using Yapping or ask us to delete your account at any time.

Liability

Yapping comes as is. As far as the law lets us, we cannot be held liable for the words or actions of other members, or for knock-on losses linked to using Yapping. Consumer rights that the law says cannot be signed away remain yours regardless.

Changes to these terms

These terms will be revised now and again. A revision moves the last updated line, and important ones are flagged inside Yapping too. Chatting on after a revision counts as accepting it. Questions? Reach us through the contact page.
