Getting started

Open Yapping, tap the mode you want, then hit start. Guests are welcome, so there is no form in the way. The mode applies to one match at a time, so to change it, end your current chat, pick a different mode and start again. The full walkthrough is on how it works.

Camera or microphone not working

• Check that your browser has permission to use the camera and microphone for Yapping. On a phone, also look in the system settings for your browser app.
• Close other apps or tabs that may be using the camera, such as video calling apps.
• Reload the page after changing permissions.
• Try another browser. Recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox all work.
• Freezing picture? A stronger signal usually cures it, so get nearer the wifi router or swap cellular data for wifi.

Signing in and devices

Guests can chat straight away. Once you sign in, coins, follows, VIP and preferences are saved against your login, which means a new phone, a different browser or wiped cookies will not lose them. If you lose access to the email you signed up with, contact support from any address and include your nickname.

Yapping has no app store listing. Add it to your home screen from Safari or Chrome; the Yapping app page shows each step.

Reward Center

The Reward Center sits above the match screen. When its countdown ends, tap to claim; the reward can be free matches or coins. The next countdown starts from the moment you claim, you can claim several times a day, and missing a day does not reset anything.

Coins and top-ups

• Coins cover matches past your free allowance, private calls, gifts and a few ticketed live rooms.
• If a top-up does not show in your balance, reload the page first, then email support with your nickname, the purchase date and the payment method.
• With VIP, coin packs show at member prices, and the badge can be turned off in settings.
• Anyone offering free coins, generators or modded versions of Yapping is running a scam.

Reports and safety

Tap report on the chat screen or in a live room while it is still open, then press next. Our team reviews every report. The house rules are in the community guidelines.

Deleting your account

To close your account for good, email [email protected] from the address you registered with. Deleting an account wipes any leftover coins and VIP days along with it, so use them up beforehand if you want. Everything else goes through the contact page.
