Yapping / Community Guidelines

Community Guidelines
Yapping is at its best when two strangers can relax and just talk. These guidelines exist to protect that. They apply to every chat mode, to messages and profiles, and to live rooms.
The spirit of it
Treat every match as a person, because that is what they are. Be curious, be funny, be a bit weird if you like. If the conversation is not working, press next rather than getting nasty. That covers most situations before you read any further.
Adults only
Everyone on Yapping must be 18 or older. Do not use Yapping if you are younger, and never bring a minor into a chat, even in the background. Anything that sexualises or endangers minors is reported to the relevant authorities and ends the account immediately.
Keep it clean
- No nudity or sexual acts on camera, and no explicit messages, photos or links.
- No sexual comments or requests aimed at someone who has not welcomed them.
- Profile photos and nicknames must be suitable for a general adult audience.
Respect people
- No harassment, threats, stalking or bullying.
- No hateful attacks on anyone for where they come from, what they believe, who they love, their gender, their body or their abilities.
- No pressuring anyone for their socials, phone number, address or photos.
- No recording or sharing someone's chat, face or voice without their consent.
No scams or selling
- Do not ask other users for money, gift cards, crypto or verification codes.
- Do not advertise products, services, other apps or websites.
- Do not impersonate another person or claim to work for Yapping.
- Do not use bots, scripts or multiple accounts to farm rewards or flood chats.
Live rooms
The same rules apply in live rooms, both for the person streaming and for everyone chatting. Gifts are always optional; nobody may pressure viewers to send them. Room chat should stay friendly, and people streaming may remove anyone who disrupts it.
Reporting and enforcement
Every chat screen and live room has a report button. Use it while the chat is open, then press next. Reviewers read each report and choose a response that fits, from a warning through a temporary limit to closing the account for good, weighing how bad it was and whether it is a repeat. More on how that works is on the safety page.
If you believe we got a decision wrong, email [email protected] with Appeal in the subject line and a short explanation.
